JEE Advanced 2016 Cutoff – The Cutoff  of JEE Advanced 2016 is the minimum marks that a candidate has to score for being eligible to get admission to the undergraduate level engineering courses at IITs and ISM Dhanbad. The Cutoff has been published by IIT Guwahati- the conducting IIT for JEE Advanced 2016. There is an aggregate and subject wise cutoff in JEE Advanced, so for qualifying, every candidate has to score the subject-wise and aggregate qualifying marks in the exam to get listed in rank list of JEE Advanced 2016. JEE Advanced 2016 Cutoff Marks

JEE Advanced 2016 Cutoff:
  • Only the candidates, who will score above the Cutoff, will be considered for the admission in IITs through JEE Advanced 2016.
  • Candidates must note that the JEE Advanced 2016 Cutoff is decided on the basis of various factors like total number of seats available, total number of qualified candidates, etc.
  • JEE Advanced 2016 Cutoff will help the candidates to know their chances of getting shortlisted for admission to IITs and ISM Dhanbad.
Only candidates, who score the minimum prescribed marks in each subject and in aggregate, will be included in the rank list. The minimum prescribed marks varies with the category. These are as shown in the following table-

As many as 1.98 lakh candidates qualified for JEE Advanced 2016, while only 1.56 lakh registered for the coveted engineering entrance test. With the addition of 4 new IITs - IIT Chhattisgarh, IIT Goa, IIT Jammu and IIT Karnataka from the academic year 2016-17, seat intake for undergraduate engineering programmes at IITs will go up by a few hundred from the existing 10,006. As these 4 new IITs will become functional this year, the total number of IITs will be 23 (including ISM) now.

NCHM JEE Cutoff 2016 is the minimum required marks to be scored by the candidates in order to be considered for admissions to any of the participating institutes. The exam authority will announce NCHM JEE 2016 Cutoff Score once the NCHM JEE 2016 Result of the exam is declared.

NCHM JEE 2016 All India Rank (AIR) is allotted to the candidates based on their performance in the written exam.  All India NCHM JEE 2016 Merit List 2016 is made on the basis of score obtained by the candidates in the JEE Written Test. In case of two or more candidates securing equal marks, the merit is determined through the following procedure:

  • Candidate, who secured higher marks in English section of NCHM JEE, will rank higher;
  • If candidates have obtained equal marks in NCHM JEE as well as in English section of the written test, the candidate, who secured higher marks in Service Aptitude Component of NCHM JEE, will rank higher;
  • If there is a tie in (1) and (2) above, the candidate, who is older in age, will rank higher.

The 3-hour NCHM JEE, conducted on April 30, contained as many as 200 questions, carrying a total of 200 marks. The most apt answer gets 1 mark, followed by 0.75, 0.5, 0.25 marks respectively. Negative marking of 0.25 marks applies on every wrong answer marked by the candidates.

The class 12th CBSE HSC results 2016 will be declared by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) tomorrow (May 21). As per the latest alert by TOI the CBSE XII 2016 results will be declared tomorrow at 12 noon. The Central Board of Secondary Education conducted the class 12th (XII) board exam 2016 in March-April 2016, the results of the same will be announced tomorrow online. The CBSE Board Class 12th results 2016 will be available to the students on May 21, 2016 at 12 noon on the official website of the board.

The CBSE class XII results will be declared on Saturday by  12 noon on the official website of the board CBSE.nic.in & cbseresults.nic.in. Earlier it was announced that the results of the CBSE class 12th is likely to be declared on Monday, May 23, 2016, but now it will be declared on May 21, 2016. APSC declares Combined Competitive (Main) Exam, 2014 results

The Assam Public Service Commission has declared the results of the Combined Competitive (Main) Exam, 2014 today with 1536 candidates taking the examination out of 2O48 applicants, said an APSC release here.

Based on the results of the C C Exam, 2014, a total of 371 candidates are declared qualified to appear in the viva-voce interview against 180 posts of ACS and Allied Services at the ratio of 1:2 plus the number of candidates who secured equal marks at the bottom line of each category with due regards to the prescribed reservations as per the terms of the advertisement, the release said.

Out of the 371 candidates called for viva-voce, 126 candidates are women and eight belong to Persons with Disabilities (PWD) category, it said.

The Commission has decided to hold the viva-voce interview tentatively from June 15.

The results could also be downloaded from the APSC's website www.apsc.nic.in, the release added.

JEE Advanced 2016 Admit Card is available now, from May 11, 2016 (9.30 am) onwards till Sunday, May 22, 2016 (9 am). The JEE Advanced Admit Card 2016 is an identity proof that has to be furnished by candidates at the exam hall to invigilator. JEE Advanced Admit Card can be downloaded online only and there is no provision for any other means of dispatch. Candidates need to login first using their registration number and date of birth for downloading the admit card.   •     Registered candidates should go to JEE Advanced 2016 Admit Card Candidate Portal window on this page below
  •     Enter your JEE Advanced 2016 registration number and answer the given question for verification   
  •     After entering these details, the candidates can download their Admit Card for JEE Advanced 2016
JEE Advanced 2016 Admit Card:
  •     Candidates, who have successfully completed registration for JEE Advanced 2016, can download JEE Advanced admit card from the online registration portal.
  •     Candidates should carefully examine all entries in the admit card and in case of any discrepancy, contact the Chairman, JEE Advanced 2016 of the respective zonal IIT.
  •     In case the admit card is not available for downloading, candidate should contact the Chairman, JEE (Advanced) 2016 of the respective zonal IIT.
  •     A copy of the downloaded hall ticket should be produced at the time of examination. The original admit card will be issued to the candidate during Paper 1 of the examination. It must be retained safely till all the formalities of admission are completed.

Important points to be noted regarding JEE Advanced 2016 Admit Card:
  •     Candidates must keep in mind that they will be allowed to write the exam only if they carry valid Admit Card to the examination hall.
  •     The original JEE Advanced 2016 Admit Card will be handed over to them at the exam hall after verification.
  •     Details as mentioned on the downloaded admit card shall match with the details in the centre verification records.
  •     Candidates, whose verification is successful, will be issued the original hall ticket which has to be kept safe till the admission process is completed. Those with unsuccessful verification will not be allowed to write the exam.
  •     Candidates, whose verification is in doubt, may be allowed to write the exam solely on the discretion of invigilator who may allow it after completing formalities including thumb impression. No extra time will be given for these candidates for completion of the formalities.

Joint Entrance Examination Advanced (JEE Advanced) 2016 will be conducted by seven zonal Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) under the guidance of Joint Admission Board (JAB) on May 22. Paper 1 will be conducted from 9 am to 12 pm and Paper 2 will be held from 2 pm to 5 pm. The performance of a candidate in this examination will form the basis for admission to various bachelor’s degree programmes in 23 IITs, including Indian School of Mines (ISM), Dhanbad along with other reputed engineering institutes.

JEE Advanced 2016 Eligibility Criteria:


Candidates interested in appearing for this national level engineering entrance exam shall satisfy the specified eligibility requirements before filling application form. Only top 2 lakh candidates of JEE Main are eligible to appear for JEE Advanced. A candidate, including a foreign national, must fulfill each and every one of the following five criteria to appear in this exam-

JEE Advanced 2016 Application Form:


Candidates can now fill the Application Form to appear in JEE Advanced 2016, from April 29, 2016. They need to register online for appearing in the exam. Only those candidates can fill the application form whose scores are equal or above the JEE Main 2016 Cutoff marks specified for JEE Advanced. Also, they are required to satisfy the specified eligibility criteria before registering online.

The online registration procedure of JEE Advanced 2016 includes following three steps-
  •     Filling registration form
  •     Uploading Scanned Certificates
  •     Paying Registration Fee
JEE Advanced 2016 Syllabus:

Syllabus of the entrance exam will be prescribed by the conducting IIT. It will cover topics from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with which question paper will be prepared. Candidates appearing for JEE Advanced shall prepare these predetermined subject-wise topics thoroughly in order to secure a good score.

Some of the important subject-wise topics are as follows-
  •     Physics- Includes General Topics, Mechanics, Thermal Physics, Electricity and Magnetism, Optics and Modern Physics
  •     Mathematics- Includes topics under Algebra, Trigonometry, Analytical Geometry, Differential Calculus, Integral Calculus and Vectors
  •     Chemistry- Includes topics under Physical Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry and Organic Chemistry
JEE Advanced 2016 Exam Pattern:

The paper pattern of this national level engineering entrance exam is not fixed and it may change year by year. However, a few elements in the exam pattern are generally fixed. There are a total of 2 papers (paper 1 & 2) and candidates have to appear for both. The question paper consists of three separate sections viz., Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. It is available in two languages - English and Hindi. Candidates have to attempt objective type (multiple choice) and numerical answer type questions that are designed to test comprehension, reasoning and analytical ability of candidates. Some sections carry negative marking also.

Eligible Criteria for UPSC Recruitment :

    Educational Qualification :
Candidates must hold a degree of a any universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University, Under Section-3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956.
    Nationality : Indian
    Age Limit : 21 to 32 years (as on 01.08.2016)

Age Relaxation :

    For OBC Candidates : 3 years
    For SC/ST/ Ex-Serviceman Candidates : 5 years

Selection Process : Selection will be based on Preliminary Examination (Objective Type) & Main Examination (Written & Interview).

Application Fee : The candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs. 100/- either by depositing the money in any branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility of the SBI /State bank of Bikaner & Jaipur/ State Bank of Hyderabad/ State Bank of Mysore/ State Bank of Patiyala/ State Bank of Travancore or by using visa/master credit/debit card. SC/ST/PH/Women candidates who are exempted from payment of fee.

Eligible Criteria for UPSC Recruitment:

    Educational Qualification :
    For Specialist : A recognized MBBS degree qualification included in the First Schedule or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 with three years’ teaching experience as Senior Resident or Tutor or Demonstrator or Registrar in the concerned Specialty or Super-specialty in a recognized teaching institution after obtaining the first Post graduate degree.
    For Assistant Registrar : Degree in Law from a recognized university with Five years practice at a Bar or five years experience in the State Judicial Service or Master’s degree in law of a recognized university with Three years experience in teaching law or in conducting research in law in a recognized university or research Institution.
    For Technical Officer : Master’s Degree in Statistics or Operations Research or Forestry or Economics (with Statistics) or Commerce (with Statistics) or Mathematics (with Statistics) Or Agriculture (with Statistics) or two years’ Post-Graduate Diploma in Forestry Management from a recognized Institute/University with Two years’ experience in collection or compilation or analysis of data including data in Agriculture or Forestry work.
    Nationality : Indian

Age Limit :

    For Specialist & Assistant Registrar : 40 years
    For Technical Officer : 30 years

Age Relaxation :

    For OBC Candidates : 3 years
    For SC/ST Candidates : 5 years
    For PH Candidates : 10 years
